This classical home located right off Montclair’s main downtown was built at the turn of the century and one of our favorite homes to redesign to date. There is so much original detail still intacked throughout the home from the once billiard room, to the winding staircases, with beautiful stain glass and leaded windows throughout. We began the interior design of this Montclair home a bit differently, starting with the top (3rd floor) bathroom renovation that would be used for their daughter and guests. This bathroom had been completely gutted down to the studs when we came on board, and showcased the original brick chimney on one wall whereas we felt we’d hit the jackpot when seeing it. We used classical elements when designing the shower as we do not follow trends, but instead ask ourselves and our clients if we and they would like a design 5 years down the road, then 10 years down the road - that is going to tell us if a design element is trendy, or if it is made to last… We also look to the home itself when designing a space, combined with the clients desired look, style and taste, whereas this client leaned toward more modern interiors, whereas we were able to marry the two styles seamlessly.

We are redesigning other rooms in this home including the grand dining room with over ten foot ceilings, the library and various bedrooms, we cant wait to show you.
